Wild Bill’s RV & Outdoor Center is introducing inside storage for motorcycles, atv’s, snowmobiles, & powersports starting August 1st! Many of you have followed us at Wild Bill’s as we transform Building #2 from no heat, no electric, & asphalt floor to a clean, dry, bright, cement floor facility ready to store your toy! The transformation is getting closer by the day, but we need to get the word out that starting August 1st we will be doing indoor storage for powersports equipment. We will be offering basic storage starting as low as $25 per month for some vehicles that will be stored year round to as much as $100 per month for vehicles that we store year round that we maintain the battery, change fluids, fill with fuel, & have ready and waiting for you to pickup with 3 hours notice. Our “Concierge Motorcycle Storage” will be for the man who wants his motorcycle always ready but without the hassle. If your wife doesn’t have to see the $40K Harley she may be happier. Wild Bill’s will strive to earn your business!
In the last 8 weeks I have got pretty good at telling the story of “Who is Wild Bill?” I had the privilege of going to college in the little town of Watertown, WI and if you needed a used jeep, atv, or sled part you went to Wild Bill’s Salvage in Sullivan, Wisconsin. Wild Bill was a retired worker from Briggs & Stratton that would let people dump vehicles on his property for scrap. Bill would scrap the stuff when he got a load, until one day he realized he had accidentally created a small business for people looking for used stuff. So Bill would set up a table on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday on his property and you could go shopping for what you needed. He would only take cash and he would give a 50% discount if you brought him a 6 pack of Mickey’s Big Mouth beer. Wild Bill’s was such a fun place that we would sometimes go just for the people watching, even if we didn’t need to buy something. Wild Bill died several years after I graduated college and his family shut down the business. Apparently I was meant to carry the Wild Bill’s name into the future. We knew when we bought Wheel Go Camping that we were going to be a different business and we needed a new name for the new business. Calling it Wild Bill’s just seemed like a natural way to honor Bill’s legacy. We look forward to building a reputation for good prices, great service, & a fun place to shop. I don’t know what my response will be yet if someone brings me a six pack of Mickey’s!
Wild Bill has been busy! We took delivery of our first concession trailer. I would like to be the first customer of the taco trailer! We have a unique trailer that is 6.5’x16″ tandem axle with a ramp gate and solid sides. This is trailer is on sale today! $2300. Finally, the sandrail that will become Wild Bill’s new ride is getting close to being alive.
